I'd be in absolute giddy awe if I was to go and explore this place! Abandoned amusement parks always fasinate me, and with this place depicting such a children-intended theme, it's got a creepy feel to it. It sucks that this place had to be left to rot.
How many times did you fall through the roof? It looks like if you sneezed, the whole place would collapse.
None, the concrete floor was solid in most places, the decorative structures were in bad shape.
When walking threw the castle did you see anything that used to be there about the story line or even just remind you that there were children there?
issath420,
The dioramas would insinuate there was something there, but with the iron grates still there and how it was structured, you'd get the idea there were children in awe and inspiration of the whole place!
.........continued...it's just too storybookish a place for any child of any age to have missed the idea that it was created for them!
There's a great park in Oakland, CA that's still in operation, Childrens' Fairyland. So storybook, and they began to fix up the little storybook boxes. You could buy a fairyland key, stick it in, turn it, and you'd hear the story. I'd imagine this place as a sort of Fairyland.
Wow, these pictures are magnificent. Absolutely stunning.
I'd love to go to an abandoned amusment park. Sounds fun...sort of spooky...what an adventure!
These are the most amazing pictures...talk about a live fairy tale.
I remember going to this place when I was young, it was so much fun.
Motts there is a place not far from here that is restoring this park bet they would love some of your photos as they are asking for some.
Your photos are amazing! Thank you for posting them. Hope you never take them down!
barely any comments are put on this place but i like it
God I love these shots, so Castle like! It would be cool if the blueprints-if any were used to rebuild or even expand too. I would like to have a rebuilt version with some Add-Ons for that much deserved home feeling. Being in the forest would add to that home feeling. I can see myself cutting timber logs and stacking them on a rack near home.
I so want to just play up there!
i know this might sound sorta weird, but i'm 9.my dad told me about this place.i'm way too young to go exploring here, but once my family drove past the enchanted forest.one time,my family was up in bedford(yes,it's near gravity hill!),and we stopped at a place and it had a small wooded area but it was closed off.it had the 7 dwarfs mine,a huge pumpkin, etc. two words for everywhere on this site:LEAD PAINT.
