Wow, I wish my stairwell at home looked as nifty as that one (minus the debris, of course). The banister is fabulous!

I'm jealous. My staircase doesn't have a bannister anything like this. It is just beautiful. Someone did an amazing job.

So sad - this is now gone. It originally had parquet floors and a beautiful foyer. Burned in 2006.
