Peely Hall

Peely Hall

One more shot before I've had enough of this massive yet empty building!

As always Motts, your hallway shots kick ass!!
Motts, i was wondering, when your exploring a building like this, do you hear dead silence, or is there continous outside noise going on. I know , weird question, but the picture gives me the impression of complete silence. Anyways, just wondering :-)
Well in this medical building, the hundreds of smoke detectors were low on batteries so they were all beeping at different times, it sounds pretty weird. Usually it's pretty quiet except for dripping sounds and things banging around in the wind.
Ugh, that constant chirping of the smoke detectors must've been really aggravating (although it says something for the lifespan of the batteries).

Funny how this wing is peeling so badly while the older wards just had crumbling plaster revealing the underlying brick.
It's just a guess, but these newer paints (latex-based?) might peel easier than the older paints that used lead (which was discontinued), and would still be present if abandonment took place before the law required it to be removed.
y would any one want to go and look round dead bodies
OK...no one told me there would be dead bodies.... ; )
This hallway looks absolutely furry!
This picture is brilliant. It remindes me of a scene from the movie Silent Hill. Very good picture; I'd like to go there and take photographs myself!
Great shot but I love the shots in hte older buildings much better. You can sure tell the difference.
Looks like the wind has done its work.
