Showers

The hoses that were used to wash the patients down were still intact in this shower room.

very strange looking shower contraptions
Standard institutional shower hoses from way back when. We still have some like this and use 'em, and they actually work a lot better than the new stuff - better water pressure and all.
all i can say is dont drop the sope
anyone cares for a spongebath
Nothing like being asthetically pleasing.
This makes me want to go take a shower ^^ ..... (NOT!) XD
imagine being marched in there and hosed down! ...NOT at the top of my to do list!
babydol, the only reason you would be "marched in there and hosed down" is if you hadn't showered for weeks on end, or were an absolute mess with things unnecessary to name, and were still refusing to shower.
The red hose looks like it was used for the "Big E" -
very cool!
Was the water cut off to all these old buildings or does any of it still have water in it?
Yes the water was shut off - in an unheated building in New England, the pipes would probably freeze and burst the first winter if they weren't.
Wow. How cold does it get there?

Question: What is the first letter of the word "abandoned?"
