Collapsed

This seeming reflection is actually the window on the floor below.

Man those floors look scary
Looks very dangerous! is that moss on the floor?
Another sign that asylum UE is nearing an end,
The contrast of the collapsed roof and rainbow colored walls is striking, like something out of a demented child's mind.. Like death and decay go along side dolls and stuffed teddy bears naturally.. Like looking into the child's mind to see an enchanted forest full of unicorns one minute, and shredded bodies and the souls of the damned the next..
Didnt you think the floor that you were standing on were about to collapse!!!!
Ooooohhhhh, my.... I love this one!

It's almost like the bright, safe colors of the two doors bring peace... until you see the dark, looming gallows of hell, ready to reach out for you!
Oh.. I would never dare even to walk on that floor. I looks all soft..
My god. . .
your photography skillz are truly impressive. Truly magical.

You wouldn't happen to know if this asylum is still around, would you? I go to school near Marshfield, and was planning on stopping by here sometime after I heard about it not long ago. Thing is, I heard it was being renovated or torn down or something. You wouldn't happen to know by any chance?
Thanks! The hospital is still standing but I'd rather not say it's name or where it is.
OMG, that is sooooo amazing and beautiful.
I have a question- are the ceiling beams usually thick wood or iron eye beams in those old buildings? Also, are the floors in the hallways hardwood under the tiles, or subflooring? I would assume hardwood since in the old days they did not half-ass things like now. :)
ok...first of all i thogught that floor had a huge puddle ..and then i really lookd at it and there was no floor...where the the puddle was hahahah
huh.. great picture with the moss growing on the floor
Motts, ive been going through these sites, mainly from top to bottem,I feel like daja vu,is there aother place simular to this?
Riverside has telltale collapsing floors which are similar, http://www.opacity.us/...e_state_hospital.htm
Dang. I don't think you could get me to go to the second story of that building if I knew the floors were unstable. I'm sure no one would enjoy going through the floor.
The windows are all intact and the floors are caving in, very strange. The walls seem to have moss too
Is it an Old Isolation ward or an Old Mansion?
jejejejeje...just kiddin'..Whatever it is..for me it's 1 of the creepiest photos I've ever seen.....
The black hole....that lies beyond! Truly wicked amazing shot!
Hey..I hope it's OK, but I loved this image so much that I used it as a painting reference.

I credited you.
wow, I did think it was a reflection...
It would be awesome to go see this place. You are lucky you got to go, and thanks again for sharing your pics and experience with us!
mumm the floor needs mowing again
its look un safe to roam in there it like a scene from a horror flim
I'm sure by now the floor has fallen in, so this picture can never be duplicated again. Thanks for snapping it, Motts!
Thanks Motts for your excellent eye in lining up the shot so it does look like a reflection on the floor of the window in front. Until I read your caption, I didn't realize that part of the floor was gone and it was the top of the window on the floor below.
