An Abandoned View

I believe the white spots on the floor are calcium deposits from the water dripping off the ceiling, often found in subterranean places.

This picture makes me feel very uneasy. Very distrubing picture.
Same here...
*shivers*
Quite the oppisite for Me, I'd love to be standiing there soaking up the sun's warmth, looking out over the veiw from the window.
Looks like the shadow of the window on the wall is melting
it also kind of looks like a person smiling in that same shadow--you have to look close and have a good imagination--its in like the middle section of the window
From looking at this picture i can almost smell fall. the tree outside with no leaves and the bright yellow sunset coming in through the window. its moving. you really captured a moment i can feel.
i can see 2 faces both near the ceeling, one at the upper right on the wall, one directly on the ceeling above the enlightended wall.
Oh snap, so can I, dude nice eye!
ok...these pics juet keep getting better and better
and this time i actually saw one face in the upper right corner....but ya back to the subject i love the pic...its actually kinda peacefull to me..but thats just me GREAT PIC!
I assume the calcium deposits in subterranean places comes from water leaching calcium out of stone and soil as it filters through those layers, but I wouldn't think building materials would have much calcium in them for the water to draw out. There's obviously *something* there for the water to absorb, though.
What windows will do to keep themselves company.
I hope anyone breathing in this place wore at least a dust mask due to what appears to be mold on the walls.
I think the leaching of the calcium is called "effluorescence". It also happens when concrete degrades due to moisture or damp, often found in basements.
