Ward

Ward

The floors were getting soft in some spots, I predict they will collapse in a few years.

I love how you do these hall shots.
What's interesting is that in recent studies involving color and emotional stimulation that have been done in prisons, pink has been flagged as one of the colors that creates a far more agressive/violent atmosphere.
See the hand in the upper left "hand" (sorry, couldn't resist!) corner?
Looks to be in pretty bad interior shape.
Love the pic. It's so, so, well i dont know what to say but it makes you not want to go thru that hall, like something is going to pop out.
I think this corridor represents more than an empty hallway, to me it looks like a gateway to everyones subconscious a portal into the darkness, the nothingness. Anything could spring from the dark, anything your mind could create. Everything comes from the darkness.
Then again, it could just be a very well done picture of an empty hallway in an abandoned building... but that isn't as romantic.
The coridors of decay that lead nowhere but to a damn good photo. This is what is was all about, they never ended.
WHen i think of an abandoned Asylum...this pic would come to mind
wow its like a episode of the twilight zone *theme music in the back round* there are doors to diffrent demesions scattered
I can almost see all the doors slamming one by one as some manifestation appears and walks down the hallway.... Crrating sounds and sights that only could befit this type of architecture...Good imagination here lol
I am not getting a good feeling from this hallway at all. I cannot believe you had the patience to stay here and photograph this whole area. You are to be commended.
CAN YOU WONDER WHY THESE PEOPLE WERE DEPRESSED?!?!?!?
Who was depressed?
THESE PEOPLE were already depressed or mentally ill before entering ,they didnt come in and then get depressed or mentally ill, like catching a cold.
this is an extremely amazing picture...wow..i could just imagine someone walking down this hall and like...oo that thought stops here..
I'm sure, the place looked good at one time, when it was built. I imagine those pipes near the ceiling are sprinklers put in, when they upgraded the fire code.
Well I'm sure I'd be depressed if I had to stare at the pink color everyday. It's not really a bad color or anything, just not something I'd ever use. There's the creepy pitch blackness again. I don't think you could pay me to go down that hall alone. Well, you probably could, but it would have to be a lot.
Pink is the nemesis of all colors.
you are definately a great photographer
Is that a boarded up serving hatch on the left? or where a notice board was removed?
this hall shoot looks so creepy i love this pic
If this is an open ward, I wonder what the doors on either side led to...
nurse station kind of place? stairways? iso room?
Isn't funny how silence is always louder than noise?
I love how its pink on the sides, and then down the hall it's dark and morbid. Thats my room down the hall. 182. (just joking about that....)
This is creepy. I love this shot. And thanks to this, I now have a subject for my Photography final!
lol Sketch your comment cracked me up
a half-outside-the-box creative kind of mind can be a lonely hangout if there's no company.
scary
Motts, have you ever been back to see if the floor did collapse, or see other things?
Yes, I've been back here a few more times; everything seemed the same structurally, albeit more vandalized.
Out of all of your pictures this one amazes me the most youre awesome
Yes, this picture........i like so much. Everything: the colors, the light, the two intact lamps above, and the dark square in the middle. Agree, awesome, Mr.Motts. This is a fine gallery!

Question: What is the first letter of the word "abandoned?"
