Courtyard Wall

Courtyard Wall

Behind this wall is the courtyard where patients would be able to safely go outside. The metal door was opened to let maintenance vehicles in and out.

The wall was put up in the late 80's when they opened several wards in Bldg. 22 for younger, criminally insane patients.
Doesnt it look like the metal door is somewhat opened?
Good eyes Renee. I think it is open.
I'm going in!
I was there before this wall went up and remember when bldg 22 was converted from geriatrics to younger criminally insane patients. It got much harder after that to tell the employees from the patients, as many would walk the halls between buildings.

Wow. About how tall was this wall?
Paul, You got that right about telling patients from T.A.s especially when they would let the honor card people off the wards. If you saw a patient standing next to a T.A. in the lobby entrance in 22 you wound not know the difference. Good Luck
