Something jarring and disturbing about this photo, not sure what but it's a great picture.
Motts, did u open it? if so, what was inside?
'Oddly disturbing' is an understatement. Why do you suppose the lining is hanging out?

There is a story here.
You know places like this intrest me and "say" I would like to explore them but if I saw something like that I would run like bloody hell..ahhhhhhhhh!
It could be that some kids were exploring and playing around, and one thought it would be "funny" to shove one of the kids in the coffin....but I don't know...
Hopefully, Barb, if that was the case, they managed to get the kid back out of the coffin...and didn't just leave him there
It would be SOOOO hard for me to not open this. It's like watching a movie........
Definitely got a shiver from this picture
I would love to walk around here looking at everything and getting a 3D view of this place, I would be amazed and in awe, creeped out, yes but i would still love it.
The beauty of Autrian taffeta creeping out of a container never used, but used.
i also got a shiver when i seen this - it would be very tempting to just slide the lid across and take a peak inside.
One time, many years ago, my daughter, neice and I all went to see a man they called Stoneman Willie. He used to be a prisoner at the Berks County prison and at the time, they were kind of experimenting with how much famaldyhyde(not sure if I spelled that right)to use. Anyway, they used too much on him and he actually turned as hard as a rock; this was maybe in the 1800's. They still have his body at some funeral home and we went to see him. We were shown to go to this top room of a garage; and there he was. There were caskets all around and we thought it was a storage area so my neice lifted the lid of one and there was an old lady laying in it!! I almost had a heart attack! Just thought I'd share that story.
Beautiful pictures, I wonder why so many are afraid of them.
gud and excellent
My friend Brian and my brother Shaun and I went to Aumans Funeral Home in the mid 90's and saw Stoneman Willie, too! We didn't see any other bodies thought. Your story sounds fun & creepy!
Well this pic is nice and creepy. It's not so much the coffin that's freaky as the pitch black behind it. I hate total darkness in places like that *shudders*.
Stoneman Willie is an urban legend, there's one here in Saginaw, MI inside of ForestLawn cemetary's Mortuarty.
looks like a foot sticking out!! great find
Brdnst oot pfegl ten herpku dronich! Latunsa mglailov pneistek brnco et fuscar. Tende magoyl fenestre dook freetsig! Ooot tnegel, oop pneistek. Hehehe!!
ew. I love the lining in the casket. I white lacy stuff....beautiful...imagine that on a hospital bed....oooooooooooo, thats a nice picture! how pretty! ^.^
Was this photo taken in a tomb? Maybe the real body was relocated. Maybe someone broke into the tomb and they havent locked it up yet. Maybe this could be fake. I cant imagine a cemetery would leave it this way.
No, this is in the basement of a psychiatric hospital.
what a drag to end up six feet dead on a plywood bed ////////////
Nice shot ! Well done...Makes your mind wonder
You are right Nancy. I heard about Stone Man Willie back in the late 60's from my dad at my grandmothers funeral there. I told many of my friends and we walked downtown to see him during the mid 70's. The stories are true.

Question: Is the color of the sky blue or green?
