Dreadlock Dude

Dreadlock Dude

Some guy with dreads came to the railing to drink his coffee and hang out... the younger group showed up right after.

This is looking across the bridge that the subway and Broad Street share. Pretty clean, eh?

I've been here, my dad lives about 5 blocks from the place, try going there at night, its some creepy shit.
i've only been there during the day, and i didn't go very far in
Mid- to late '40s a school teacher took us, as a class, on a short trip to demonstrate the aqueduct across the Genesee River, Broad Street, which was built for the Erie Canal and was then used as the bed for the subway.
I have walked the entire span. Quite a place to be in not knowing what may be ahead in the darkness. Also, beware of the open manholes!
This reminds me of all your "hallway" shots in the psychiatric hospitals and is just as fabulous!
Love subways.
i love the artwork on the walls cant beat U.S for that.
Just went down there for the first time. It's awesome. I also just finished a map of the Rochester Subway. It's a view of how it might have looked in 2008 if it were still around. It's based on proposed lines. Shows where new subway stops may have been added. Also has an article explaining the history of the subway... http://www.rochestersu...bway_poster_2008.php
..Artwork on the walls? That's graffiti. And it sucks. Damn taggers just lay it on wherever they want and diminish whatever was already there.
