A Blue Chair

A Blue Chair

I imagine these chairs were for patients who would sit in them most of the day and still be mobile, but they didn't completely depend on them to get around.

this is a geri-chair. Used like a wheel chair, but the patient can sit longer and more comfortably .
The blue is a nice contrast but compliments the green too...and there's that beautiful fireplace again!
I second that, Mnementh, the glare on the blue is dazzling!
Why does it say "Kid" on the fireplace? Just grafitti?
That's a different fireplace, the other one had bricks exposed above the mantle
What? a geri-chair? no way! thought this place was abandoned long ago, but friendly sight of the familiar geri-chair is somewhat comforting...lol
now that is what I call blue chair!!!!
Yeah, rtotten, it does look quite sad does it not?
Let's write a song about it.
~Me ; very funny, I was just comenting on the color
crap there goes my spelling again.
AH SOMEONE RUINED THE FIREPLACE >:OZ
we still have those same chairs today. i see them at my work all the time. a geri-chair. AMAZING picture though!
Is that more somewhat ornate woodwork in the divider post between the two windows?
I believe so, looks like beveled squares...
WHERE IS THE FIREPLACE?I SEE NONE, ARE THE GHOSTS SREALING YOUR PERSEPTION OF REALITY>
Boy, I get antsie if I'm stuck in the house and don't get out for awhile; imagine how these people felt?
It's like a piece of blue delftware in a pile of terra cotta pots.

It seems so happy where it is.
So relaxing just sitting there staring out the window. christmas decorations over the mantle....
I can imagine a patient sitting in that chair, staring outside, wishing he/she could be part of the outside world. This picture makes me sad.
Nice to see that pretty fireplace again.
the light green in the foreground is like the shade of green I remember the interiors of school buses being.
Sorta puts me in mind of the song Angry Chair by Alice In Chains
