Why is it, in ghost pictures involving wheelchairs, the chairs are scattered, never lined up? It looks like these people bolted!
This is a ghost picture?
I see a pretty clear image of a shadow figure standing in the archway.
I see... nothing in the archway. Another arch behind it, and a few spots of what looks like stray sunlight or something, but otherwise just darkness.
dont you think that any person that had to spend their lives locked up in these asylums had earned their rites into heaven or at least a better place then to spend enternity living out their nightmares???
For some reason, that is freaky as hell.
I think its because the chairs look exactly the same, giving the feeling of a long exposure shot where the chair moved its self.

maybe its just me?
i totally agree with you Katy
If you look hard enough you will see the people {not litterly see] who occupied these chairs, one not wanting to be bothered, one trying to join in, as if they have a life of there own.
I think your right, I see it too. Thats the way it looks to me.
IF THAT ISNT AN IMAGE OF A HUMAN BEING IN THE ARCHWAY THEN I DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS? WHOAH IT REALLY LOOKS LIKE ONE,,, YEESH! MY HAIRS STOOD UP FOR A QUICK SEC!
do not really see anything in the archway, maybe you are looking to hard???
I see it too!! I'm surprised we never saw him there before...

why do you like to enter in that hospital
oh my gosh, that is great, thanks for the laugh Lynne
haha yeah PB it's really hard to miss the guy in the archway
this is like a tool video, only way awesomer, but i see no one.
that was really funny
i love wheel chairs they rox my sox
i feel a bit woozy, does ghost asbastos cause internal bleeding
this shot reminds me of the CSI computer game. i think its the second or third case where a homeless guy was found in a room that looks just like this wheelchars and all
I'm just curious on why these wheelchairs were not donated to another hospital when the place closed.
Bond~That's a great point!
They look a tad beat up to me. They prbably donated the good ones. What you see is the dross
This again reminds me of the mind of a mentally ill person, scattered thoughts, not ordered or indeed sane!
hiya all.. i would love to come to this it looks amazing lol x
Is the shadow that runs across the windwed wall from you phot technique? It's kind of eerie, because it seems to run in front of the light coming through the window too.... No, I am not "looking" for things in the clouds, it was just the first thing I noticed...
I'm gonna get nightmares haha!! xD
Whenever it was dark in the ward and i heard metal creaking i would imagine a wheelchair rolling itself down the hall
More wheelchairs. It's such a shame to see them just sitting there, unused, when they could be used by those who need them, that is, if they're still in useable condition.
Motts, Not only are your pictures dazzling and beautiful in their own sense but you really bring out the beauty in these depressing areas. My personal favorites are the ones you did in Black and White.
i simply think it reflects good photagraphy. the photos, in my opinion, hardly reflect the true mystery of which most people are searching for in such pictures, but the artfulness of it leaves me in the mindset that whomever took these were very skilled. however they fail to emphasies any of these buildings ghostly features, but they are attractively dark.
I've been looking through your website for a while, but I just had to comment this picture.
I got such a shiver down my spine looking at this, you can really imagine all the patients being wheeled down this hallway.
As always, amazing photos.
I can see them all, about five of them in the middle of the room, and one in the arch.

Might get my mum to have a look on this site, she sees things in photographs too.
And by all, I mean people.
Now that's a chilling photo. The chairs move when nobody is looking. OOOOoooooOOOOooooOO
A very lonely and sad picture :(
