Ward Corridor

Ward Corridor

Lots of equipment and furniture were strewn about, sometimes it was a bit of a squeeze to get through the halls.

Looks like either you caught an entity, or someone got in the photo and moved real quickly while you snapped the photo
Yes, I was thinking the same thing... which is it?
I walked down the hall while lighting it.
Ok! Enough with the "I see ghosts" posts. Motts is obviously using long exposure times and using his flashlight to show you as much as the hallway as he can. The long exposure time allows him to more or less paint the place in light alittle at a time while the camera takes a really long snap shot of the hall way. The reason the rest of the hall is not blurry is because it is not moving... Because he is unable to light the entire place all at once he uses this tenique MANY times in dark places. Get used to it.... and stop looking for ghosts.
I love the fact that we have such a deverse group of people that visit this site, and I have got the chance to broaden my mind with their comments. There is nothing wrong with finding spirits in photos, Alot of people do this. I dont see it as demeaning to Motts artistic photography. Of course I cant speak for Motts, but im sure he appreciates all of our comments as long as they are not abusive or derogetory.
exactly
are there any pictures on this site with anything strange? Like unexplainable shit?
motts u r 1 brave dude i admire ur guts
Those wierd shadows make the floor look confusing
That is ver interesting.I can really tell that there was people there. You might want to pick up some of those papers if you ever go there again.
This shot reminds me of "Moby- Natural Blues" video
This corridor looks HUGE! I can only imagine what it was like to walk down this hall when this place was open. Such a large space with sounds echoing from every direction, patients/doctors/nurses/staff/visitors.
i worked wor. state hosp 54- 56. know all about what it was like in a mental hosp

Looks like you got an entity. Places like this are likely full of them. Nothing wrong with that, I guess......The pictures themselves show the craft of an awesome photographer! Cudos.
amazing.
looks like quiet chaos.
OMG I SEE IT!! I never see apparitions in photos but this one I do!! Wow!
Why do these corridors remind me of Half-Life 2?
I find this the creepiest:
So, if that bright light in the middle is not a beautiful yellowish sunbeam, you're artificially lighting the room, so it's dark. I guess the big windows face outdoors, so you're doing this by night... theory also supported by the long exposure times you mentioned were needed... then if the spectrum is you arranging the lights... there's no assistant... so you're alone!!! ...

I really wonder if Master Motts feels any fear in the amazing places he shares with us... if not, what might frighten him?... a shinny blue sky and an open field carpeted with jumbo sunflowers STP Thank You album style???
all that stuff left behind, yet it lingers...like the memories of the patients who passed thru here
I like that we can see Motts' "ghost" images of him lighting the hallway... it has some sort of weird line effect that makes me look deeper into the photo.... :)
Motts, i like how you made it look like the chair or whatever that thing may be is moving down the hall.
Sadly, this is the reason fire departments will not initiate an interior attack when one of these buildings catch fire. Fill this space with black, blinding smoke and it becomes a death trap for firefighters. The best they can do is "surround and drown" to protect the surrounding exposures.
