Seclusion Room

The small window in the door was covered in wire mesh.

Okay. that picture seriously freaks me out.
The California air
Your nightgown on the stairs
I remember every night
Scenes from home in the Quiet Room

How long have I been gone
Did winter kill the lawn
And all those polaroids you sent
Are on the wall in the Quiet Room

They've got this place
Where they've been keeping me
Where I can't hurt myself
I can't get my wrists to bleed
Just don't know why
Suicide appeals to me

The Quiet Room
Is sterilized and white
It's like a tomb
With just a moth stained naked night

Plastic forks and spoon
No laces in my shoes
They allknow what I tried to do
Outside the Quiet Room

This quiet place
It ain't so new to me
It's haunted atmosphere
Has heard so many scream
My home from home
My twilight zone
My strangest dream

My confidant
I have confessed my life
The Quiet Room
Knows more about me than my wife

They've got this place
Where they've been keeping me
Where I can't hurt myself
I just can't
I just can't get these damn wrists to bleed

A mattress on the floor
No handles on the door
I really need nothing here
I'm alone
If someone was not insane enough going in, I am sure they were coming out.
Perfect tonal range, black and white really acts as the best medium to emphasise the sombre look the door has and more so what lies inside the room. We are also able to almost empathise with the mental patients once confined to this room. Furthermore, the peeling paint is a subtle comment on time and how the layers are stripped away when left devoid of human maintainence.
And again, a beautiful picture. Ive noticed you have a thing with the number 2 door! Skye.. wonderful poem, it just adds something to the picture. Wonderful!
Skye: Woohoo!!! Alice Cooper fans unite!

Motts: great pic! I love how the edges of the walls are starting to crumble on both sides...
skye, i just lost my air, you put me in motts space. WOW
that looks like a door from the twilight zone
This pic. is awsome! it's so creepy. Makes me want to know who was there.......
wow room #2
I feel like someone or something is going to just pop out that door at any second. Creepy!!!
Actually Julers, someone or something is going to reach out, grab you, and pull you in there.

oooooooh.
Great picture!
Stuart in England.
Motts, I don't agree with tim either, and I think that he made it up, but please don't use prophanity.I am in sixth grade and think that this site is cool, and would like to show this site to alot of my friends.I have christian friends, and am a christian myself, and we don't want to be on websites with prophanity.Otherwise, you are 100percent correct, and the website is cool.I know that you posted that comment a long time ago, but you know, just for future reference.
That was supposed to be a comment for seclusion room three.
*sigh* Again the Christians are trying to make us comply with their every want and wish.

Honey, BS isn't profanity. I can give you some very clear examples of profanity if you'd like, just to clarify it for you. Or perhaps just watch the South Park movie.
Hmm, are comments vanishing? I can't find any post that Celeste, Lynne or Felyne are responding to.
Hey Mathue, Motts upsets the Christians here: *edit* its not letting me post the url, go to the mainpage for this particular gallery at look at Seclusion Room 3.

Personally I think his haircut is far more offensive than his language.

(only kidding, please don't ban me)
Ah, thanks Felyne. Frankly, having once worked as a mechanic this 'mild profanity' doesn't trip my metre off.

OT RANT! DON'T READ! (you were warned)

As for 'upsetting the Christians here', the more that can be upset the better. As a Christian myself I feel a good number of 'us' need a good thrashing with a metre long cluestick. The 'conservative religious right' needs a good swift kick is the nether-regions. Sometimes I feel so very ashamed of my affiliation and what is said and done in it's name.
haha I learnt some of my most colourful phrases from mechanics! Rock on!

I'm an infidel myself, so I dont care what religion others are, until they try to make others change to fit their lifestyle.

Anyway, we're getting a little off topic and I don't wanna get growled at so I'm gonna make some remark about the picture and then scamper off....

Interesting that above the door has square glass windows. Did they figure no one would be able to climb up that far, or was the back of the door flat? Im sure if I really found some motivation to, I could climb up and smash that glass.
reminds me of "welcome home (sanitarium)" by Metallica

Welcome to where time stands still
no one leaves and no one will
Moon is full, never seems to change
just labeled mentally deranged
Dream the same thing every night
I see our freedom in my sight
No locked doors, No windows barred
No things to make my brain seem scarred

Sleep my friend and you will see
that dream is my reality
They keep me locked up in this cage
can't they see it's why my brain says Rage

Sanitarium, leave me be
Sanitarium, just leave me alone

Build my fear of what's out there
and cannot breathe the open air
Whisper things into my brain
assuring me that I'm insane
They think our heads are in their hands
but violent use brings violent plans
Keep him tied, it makes him well
he's getting better, can't you tell?

No more can they keep us in
Listen, damn it, we will win
They see it right, they see it well
but they think this saves us from our hell

Sanitarium, leave me be
Sanitarium, just leave me alone
Sanitarium, just leave me alone

Fear of living on
natives getting restless now
Mutiny in the air
got some death to do
Mirror stares back hard
Kill, it's such a friendly word
seems the only way
for reaching out again
okay seriously guys, the girl is in sixth grade. back off.
This looks like something out of a really old movie I saw I can't remember what it was though
No, I DO NOT want to trade for what's behind door number 2!
This photo scares me half to death, I swear. I'm gonna have to sleep with the lights on tonight.
I come back to this site again and again and am always amazed at the quality of the pictures
...trust me, there are plenty of things to make my brain seem scarred out here in the real world!
I seriously just got the chills and picked my feet up off the ground.

The lighitng makes it spooky.
Todd: Epic win! Sanatarium is the best song ever! I blast it all the time

Motts: Epic picture as well. almost makes me want to cry thinking abot all the tortured lives that once lived there.
