Love the creepy air vent. Who knows what is hiding up there watching the party below?? ^_^
IS THAT AN AIR VENT OR IS IT A CEILING MEDALLION FOR A CHANDELIER?
For some reason i really like the window.. the curtains are cool lol
Weird, looks like an old ballroom to me. I have to agree with Java, the "air vent" looks like where a chandelier was once hung.
I was also thinking it was a ballroom and pherhaps a lecture hall of some sort.
ye deffo a chandelier, the air vents are clearly seen on the walls as squares, which i remember seeing in another image where motts point out it was an air vent
Based on the time period, it probably was a ballroom / hall.
I agree. it looks like a banquet hall of some sort
..A ballroom with some modern updates. Notice the ceiling fans? They are from the late 70s-80s era. Not very old in other words.
What's with the cross on the lower right side?
Is this the Addams Family ballroom? Dark dismal walls with black curtains, nice touch
See, this is the part that they show patients' families on the "tour" or in the "brochure" of excellent patient care facilities....but those tiny rooms are the reality.
I'd REALLY be interested to see a historic pic of this room..
by far the most gorgeous building ive ever seen in person. i've walked around it many times. its just really wierd that there's is still one red light in the in the building at night.
I love this look looks very creepy
there's a cross painted on the woodwork, how ironic...
I also thought it looks like a ballroom. I find it interesting that a psychiatric hospital would have a ballroom, but then, why not?
Wow! I wonder if they held church services in this room...perhaps the cross gave me that idea...but, Courtney may be right...it could have been a ballroom...I saw a movie once where they brought the mentally ill patients to a ballroom dance.
At first glance, at least to me, I thought it was a gym. But then glancing at it somemore, with the curtains up on the windows,it probably was some kind of a ballroom. t looks like it has a hardwood floor
I like the cross on the side

Question: What is the last letter of the word "hospital"?
