Windows

At these "better" wards, stained glass started appearing in some of the windows.

this is a wonderful picture!!
Great windows!
It seems even if you short and pointlesslife did end in here... you soul wouldent even escape the walls of this prison for the damned
the light at the end of the hallway combined with the pitch black darkness on the sides makes me feel like some unexplainable force is drawing me back, sucking the life out of me.it's as if the hallway were the eye of a dieing giant, breathing his last breath(damn, never knew i could b so poetic :)
k if was in that corridor i would seriously run as fast as i could........and.......jump through the window, i'd be too scared to turn any direction to see an axe heading towards my face.
Pretty windows. i love the soft colors.
I agree the windows are beautiful
Nice windows, too. I especially like the colored panes on the top.
What a gorgeous shot.......it really is a beautiful picture!
it once looked like a cheery hallway...I can see that.
I love the colored windows along the top!
Wow is all I can say. These pictures bring back so many memories both good and bad. Thank you Mr. Motts for your website.
People with mental illness do not live "short and pointless lives" any more than any other category of people does. Nor are psychiatric care facilities "prisons for the damned." Statements like this seem to be a back-handed jab at mental health workers as "jailers of the innocent," but really they project the very attitudes they appear to be condemning in others--that people with mental illness are less valuable, that mental illness is somehow the person's own fault. I hope I have misunderstood the earlier comment and read into it something that was not intended.
we may be in a modern age but the mental illness stigma is alive and well
its funny how the paint on the walls still has a high sheen retension
rainbow windows.
Locking people up who are not prisoners is humane what is wrong with people.
Follow the rainbow right out of there!
