strange tub no faucets what kind of building was this in dorm or medical?
It's kind of odd how someone just "left" a towel there...perhaps there's more to this than we think. ::winks::
sande, the reason this tub had no faucets was because it was filled from the front of the tub. notice the hole where the pipe once was on the side of the tub w/ out the towel.
Yeah, it makes more sence so that patiens cant hit their heads on the faucet, or adjust the water temp.
After the Pennhurst lawsuit, they kind of closed it down in a hurry, some of the photographs that I have seen have chalkboards with writing on them.
If you've ever seen rotten dot com you'll know about the disturbing image I speak of about the simmering broth if not perhaps you should check it out it kinda resembles the tub where the incident takes place
dude, I saw that pic it was freaky
Another ugly bathtub.

Why are the bathtubs so ugly in these government run institutions ?

Signed: An American Soldier in Germany.
OMFG yeah dude! That pic of that guy who died in the bath and that heater or whatever it was went in with him and nobody found him for a really long time? Gaaaaaaaaaaag! That was totally gross. I think the most gross pic on Rotten (I think they've removed it now) was the set of that guy who died and nobody found him for a whole week, and it was summer, hot hot summer? Now I have a strong stomach, but I nearly puked when I saw that...
Like some sort of institutional hot tub or something.
The sides seem kinda high. There used to be an old bathtub in the 1950s section of my house that had high sides, so I guess people were more flexible back in the day. ;)
even though this stuff grosses me out more then eating puke...i want to go there so so bad
clothes or is that a towel?
Shower curtain.
Why are the sides of the tub so high? Was there originally a ramp or set of steps to assist people in getting in and out?
Wow...such an eye you have for color and composition. Truly an amazing photographer! Thanks.
is that the drain on the bottom left of the tub? why is there no taps? thats very odd, maybe it was used as a shock therapy bath with ice or something?
wow...that bath mat really makes the picture
Why am i so obsessed with this shit.my family is concerned
whats that simmering broth pic everyones talkn about, i wanna see
OK, judging by the contents of aforementioned website, I think I now know the origin of everyone's search for the macabre all over the place. Ickk!
It's funny how the mat kind of shows how places liked this can be left and not touched for decades, like the person will be back the next day to bathe. I love that kind of thing, seeing things as they were.
