Lone Chair

Lone Chair

A window has been left open above this chair, letting the snow drift inside. I personally like the simplicity and starkness of this photo.

amazing how this picture of a chair can stir such feelings of lonelyness
Makes you think of like sitting in a chair getting lectured by a principal or something lol
gives a whole new meaning to solitary confinement
it reminds me of "the ring"
Kate, wow, you're right.... I never thought of that until you said it.
Sometimes even the simpilest pictures become the most interesting, it causes you to look even deeper into the picture.
I swear you must pull of with a truck full of lonely chairs =P
This chair almost looks like it's from the movie "The Ring".
Thanks, people; The Ring. Oh, boy, I've tried to forget about that movie.
I feel like I'm getting yelled at. This isn't fair. I didn't do it. Don't touch me!
this is some freaky stuff on this website!
That chair gives me chills. I felt something bad from it. And something sorrowful.
I'm not psychic or anything, so don't worry, I'm not a nut :P I'm just thinking on gut instinct.
Just looking at this chair really makes me feel upset, not angry as much as frustrated. I just can't help but picture a kid sitting there, sentenced to a time out and giving a sullen glare... Gives me the willies...
the snow dose add a nice touch
You can see it in the other picture. Beside the bleachers.
motts you should of done that as a color photo this is my personel opinion but i think it woud of looked cool in color
iam kinda pysic it kinda gives the creeps alittle
ProbLy A spirit is Devoted tOo this Chair And StiLl Sits In iT ;o
these are great and incredible shots. I'm currently watching "Ghost Hunters" live on SyFy. Halloween night. I wanted to look up the Pennhurst and was delighted to find these pictures.

Did you as the photographer, feel or sense any movement, noises, actions - etc. from a possible spirit that's still hanging around?
Thanks - no I haven't really felt anything definitive (yet). After being in well over 100 abandoned institutions, I don't think it will happen at all...
