Infectious Waste

Infectious Waste

Now I've seen many of these red bags laying around, but none actually has waste in them except for this one laying in a solarium.

oh my god....................run for the hills. how long pray tell do you think this has been here
what was all that stuff? it looks like clothes.... maybe it was just regular trash?
nah i have been in that room thats the building rightby the bar and trash is filled with like needles and Infectious Waste
so long, red dye #2.

woops, did i say that out loud?

it's what the picture reminds me of.

it just popped in my head as soon as i clicked on it. i guess it's because it's so RED, in the rubbish, forgotten, it looks so unnatural, so anomalous, so died, er, dyed. it's like this is where the scare of red dye #2 ended up along with itself.

or is it just the ramblings of a warped mind?
Wouldn't you think though, that after this amount of time, all of the microbes would have died off/decomposed?
I don't wanna know what that junk is...
Even though most bacteria would die over time I would not suggest ever playing around in medical waste for all of those who aint the brightest crayons in the box.
i work in a hospital, im the supervisor of Radiology, and ... well.. i cant believe that this was even left behind for "bright crayons" to get a hold of!!!!!
that is just disgusting, bio hazard waste is the worst. where is a mr yuck stiker when yuo need one :-<
Looks like it was staged.
Admittedly, I'd probably explore it, but I think I've already extablished through various comments that my survival instincts are far far far outweighed by my ferret-like curiousity.
Maybe someone filmed something here and brought this in for effect? I find it hard to believe that someone would have overlooked this bright red can.
mmmmm now thats what Im talking about.
Motts did you look though the stuff.
Staged or not, poking around in that is like kissing a rattlesnake.
Isn't that illegal?
Eeep. And eww. Just, eww.
K this is so frickin' gross!!! Looks like everything is covered in blood or something....eww
albatross dinner is served up.
I believe this was just used as a regular trash can during the clean up. I can see what looks like an old coffee cup, a pint milk carton and maybe an old surgical hair cover type thing between them. What I don't see are any needles or other bio-hazard type stuff. Looks like regular trash has been put in the container. But who would kick over such a thing. mmmmmmmmmmmm Satin!
hey is any FLOOR PLANS i can look at.????????
reminds me of the unknown bloody lookin stuff that was splattered all over the floor of the classroom yesterday...some say it was kool aid, others think its blood.
damn that makes you wonder is that safe and why did they leave it just laying there???
hey Motts, wats in the BAGS??????? Im a very curious girl.
Strange how the bags to the far right almost look like a body. The red bag being the back of the shirt with the body all curled up and the beige bag being the head.
infectious waste and a tea cup
OK, folks, here's the straight poop on biohazard containers per OSHA.

If someone left that there when the facility closed, they take stupidity to a whole new level. Biohazard bags must be disposed of after 28 days if any material is in them. It doesn't matter if the material is infectious or not. When any material is introduced into the bag, the date must be written on the outside of if with a permanent marker. No date on the bag? That's a $6000.00 fine. If the date is past 28 days, that's another $6000.00 fine. Per bag.
larry, thats true!! you must have worked for aftermath! lol.

any ways..thats really not a nice thing to leave behind
Yeah, I taught BBP courses for years at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The first thing I learned was OSHA has no sense of humor. The second thing I learned was OHSA is not impressed that they are inspecting red bags at KSC. LOL. =8-O
oh jeez, when i worked for aftermath, we also had to put the bio bags into boxes. then tag the boxes, then take a digital photo of the box with the tag and date on it. it was crazy
Aids! And yes its biohazardous waste
