The overpass was destroyed to allow taller freight cars through the active rail line in the foreground. Evidently, tearing down part of the terminal was cheaper/easier than re-grading the line lower.
The marble floor in the passenger loading platform is actually in pretty good shape, i need of a few runs of a buffer, but it looked decent in sept of 04, havnt been there since
What will they do with this area?
Me and my Grandfather work at the Terminal and we designed an arch way overpass. My Grandfather used to work there
pepole have told me amtrak owns passenger concorse they use it for rail related storage its a shame! cant you picture old trains and engines on display here
I would buy this structure for a little amount and all of the construction equipment has to be in one section. It would be the only way they would let me buy it. They get to keep all the crap while the place gets fixed up. When it gets restored, they are out of there.

I'll pay $5.00 for this cool structure.
The railroad tracks in the forground are own and operated by CSX now sents the merger of Conrail. Be on alert as CSX Police are on the look out for trespassers in the area!! And there not vary friendley like the Buffalo Police Police Department.
Oh I bet, I heard from many people they are really hardcore.
