When I was there in '69 Nurse Davenport used to give me Halcion "chemical restraints" when I "acted out" and asked too many questions. In my stupor I can still remember my fellow patients who endured excess electrical "therapy" administered by psychotic doctors who put Dr Frankenstein to shame...
That's quite interesting, as Halcion wasn't released for use in the US until 1982. :-)
Obviously Nurse Davenport has all the good connections.
[Big grin]
wheres the inside pic.s
The location is watched very closely, and allot of the time the owners will not grant permission to entire the facilities ;)

Some inside shots were found here.

Enjoy!
WHERE ARE THE INSIDE PICS ??!!!
Gosh man i was really looking foward to see some inside STUFF!!!!!

good pics ...
The security on the place is tight, to say the least. And given the amount of money being put into this place ($76 million, last I checked), I suspect the owners will not take it kindly if they catch you trespassing.
Patrick, thanks for the link to the inside pictures. They are great. I think I am completely spoiled by Motts now though. As I looked through them I couldn't help thinking, "I wish Motts had been able to go in. His pictures would be so much better."
Your absolutely right Lurch, after Motts pictures, everthing else is very boring.
I was at Buff State in '77-'78. We would cut through the hospital property to get to a liquor store nearby. You could almost hear the screams and crazed laughter of those locked away.........
found your site today whilst doing research for a blog post, love these images.. def adding you to my reading list x
Reminds me of North Wales Hospital/ Denbigh Asylum...
what happened to Xpatient? probably knocked out on qualudes.
The company who owns this complex is looking for donations to help rebuild and staff the place - http://www.kirkbridebu...dson-olmsted-complex.
Donations of $50 or more get you a ticket to an event on January 26. I'm hoping to attend!
