MOTTS - YOU'RE A TOTAL FREEKING GENIUS!!!!!!
the exterior shots are beautiful would love to see some interiors
Such a foreboding countenance, I wonder, has anyone ever been able to slip inside and capture what that beast looks like from the inside?
I would hate to know i would have to be locked up in a place as this. It is so sad and foreboding looking. I cry for it.
fantastic photo!
Such a outstanding shot. Frozen in space and time. The majesty and the haunting of the subject is forever in the minds of all that view. Blown away, Motts.
Outstanding pic, definately one of my favorite asylums.
It makes me mad they destroyed DANVERS I hope whe can save this one
I've been looking at the pics on your site for the past hour. I'm fromm Bflo.My home was rigth down the street from here. It is always creepy anytime and in any season. The creepier thing is that the center is still in operation ( they jsut use the newer bldgs. Everyday the let the folks wander out and then they have to find thier way home.
hhhmmmm look like some part in the movie of batman i think but i like those creepy stuff. can you go other hospital that is FREAKING SUPER OF RHBGAALGHASBGSBG SCARY HOSPITAL?!
I heard that the state of N.Y has decided to restore this place. What a relief, after they tore down Danvers. What amazing photos you have taken!
New York didn't tear down Danvers, though. Massachusetts did, along with many other great places.
For the millionth time...

Massachusetts did NOT demolish Danvers. The state has absolutely NO hand in the development on Hathorne Hill, unless you want to try to blame them for auctioning it off.
reminds me of the exterior of disney's hauned mansion in orlando w/the copper on the roof.
hey minktail, "Tower of Terror". Awsome ride at Disney, authentically old, and creepy on the inside!
I agree a very freakin genious
I THINK I SEE IGOR FROM HERE!
Where is the light coming from on these shots, like points of light falling on the building at night?
The administration area of the Kirkbride is lit up at night with large floodlights, I'm not sure who installed them.
I think they were installed by one of the preservation groups. Partly to showcase the building, partly to better guard against vandalism.
Looks like something out of a horror novel.
FREAKIN' NEAT
