Does anyone actually beleive that the spirits leave behind anything?
Feelings and emotions you get from viewing a picture, or from looking at something in real life are just that, constructs of your humanity. Its the same as color, there IS no color, its just light being reflected back to our eyes being interpreted by our brain.
So there IS no emotion without life, therefore any emotion you feel while looking at such picture is NOt a remnant of the past any more than looking at a broken pencil is.
Ghosts are an interesting concept.
I do believe that every living being leaves an impression on the physical world.
I mean really. Who's gone house shopping (apartments count too) and when you walk into the house you can feel the prior residents. Wether it was a happy home or a not so happy home.
Do I believe that the spirits rise from the dead and haunt the living? Yes and no.
I believe that the not so happy feelings result in a lingering sensation of 'haunted'.
But no, I don't believe in seeing a physical manifestation of a manical demon coming to get me.
Anyway, I like this one. Its a lonely recliner-type chair, positioned at a lonely window and probably a spirit sitting there looking forlornly out the window being attached to the place and never getting the chance to cross over.
Which kind of ultimately begs the question: Once these people declared insane die in the asylum before they are declared cured, are their spirits insane? Or once dead do they get their sanity back? Was wondering about that reading all of this...
Motts dude, you amaze me. Simply amaze me. Excellent snap!
