Solarium

Solarium

Lots of stuff left to rot in this building. The green object is a portable oxygen tank holder, with a bag to hold other equipment.

did you look inside any of those boxes?
Nah, there were so many!
Another picture of waste.
now this looks like my bedroom.
I have a solarium.
Doesn't look this good,though.
I would have been there for WEEKS because my curiousity would have made me go through each and every box. And probably read every document inside. This is history to me and extremely interesting.
Why the solariums? After looking through many of the galleries on this site, it seems like "clean-up" crews always seemed to drag all the unused stuff to the solariums and pile them high with trash. Motts, any thoughts on this? Or maybe the crowded solariums were the interesting storage rooms and you just didn't take pictures of the others. Just curious.
I suppose because they're usually the largest rooms, and off to the sides or ends of the building, making them a prime storage space.
Yay! Updatedness! :)
I think you should've looked in some of the boxes....
wow this taks me back!!!!!!!! This area here is where the patients would sit..either in their wheelchairs or be assited to a couch or single chair to sit..look out of the window or listen to the tv...the room had plants on tables and pictures on the walls....wasnt a large room at all. but was very bright and airy
