Executone

Executone

Looks like an old phone conference or pager type machine.

Showin' my age here a bit, but i work for an Etone dealer. This is likely the lower half of an old PA microphone. The toggle swithces would be used to activate areas of speakers, and you'd press the rectangular switch ("To Call Press Here") to make your announcement. In picture "Red & Blue", there appears to be a wooden speaker baffle laying on the floor lower left, likely part of this system. Impressed? Niether is my wife.
Well *I* am impressed! That's good info. :-)
Executone was a telephone equipment manufacturer, that is an old switchboard unit for a phone system.
And when there was system failure, there was the can on the floor under the Executone unit. Where's the string and the other can? Motts?
Hi Hiller (sorry, couldn't resist)
Executone started in the 1930's with wooden intercom units and public address systems. They also manufactured hospital systems, etc. They did begin selling telephone systems in the 1970's. This is definately not a telephone system component. Over 25 yrs, I've worked on about all that Executone put thier name on.
This is definately not an Executone telephone. I work for Executone from 1969-1980. We had intercom systems, nurse call systems, paging and sound reinforcement systems, and telephone systems. This is an industrial zone paging system, the bottom button is a press to talk button, the top switches were to select various zones to be paged, the bottom switch was an all page switch.
Boy I miss thoses day, Executone was a great company.
Whatever it is its' corroded.

I miss those days.
I like it.
Yes, that is exactly what it is, probably connected to a PBK675 power booster amplifier....working on those public address, nurse call and intercom systems in my early years was lots of interesting fun....i wish i could go back to those days....recently just discarded all my old service manuals which i refused to get rid of for a few decades...needed the room in my garage for other crap....
Worked on that stuff for 25 years. I still have PBK675s, PBK6150s, a new 111AHD, and some tube power amps, etc. Good stuff and it could always be repaired.
