looks like a pair of very startled eyes
Ah, geez - INCREDIBLE shot!
Almost seems impossible to capture such colors on film, great job. This ranks up there in your top 10 for sure!
The blue lighting looks so ghostly, like it would have to be photoshopped in, or edited in to create that image. I'm in total awe of this piece.
Great job!
Is the floor missing beneath those far red-edged windows, or is it me?
Yes, the floor is gone underneath the windows.
Stunning. Perfect. Amazing.
can we get a wallpaper of this one, please?
What is this shit about? why are you taking pictures of asyums and people are saying how beautiful they are? thats sick, asylums are for helpless people, thy're not beautiful..
ummm...were' not gaping at the concept of the asylum, nor of the people that resided and worked there. It's about the building and its architecture. It's about the beauty in the decay. There are also pictures of abandoned factories and such here too, its not jsut asylums.

In addition, we look at these things with utmost respect. Many of the regulars here work in the health care field themselves. Some even worked in the places pictured.

These pictures are taken to preserve beautiful architecture that is no longer inherent in many structures built today. They are taken to display the beauty that can be present in decay. They are taken to remember the forgotten. It's not a farce.
Well said, Barbara
Yeah, what Barbara said, critique the photography and the architecture, Mott's specialty happens to be Urban Exploration and decay..... that just happens to include asylums.
Not sure if that is exactly the "light at the end of the tunnel" that we had in mind! Great shot.
i love this shot, the windows and walls at the far end look frozen or something. very cool
Bllomin' 'eck...this is a good photograph!! completely jumped out at me :)
Perfectly stated, Barbara. Thanks for relieving a bit of ignorance from the site =)
The buildings are beautiful. Their decline is sad. That's what it is.
I thought I saw an arm in the right window -- creepy!
