And I can see why too! The title really fits it. As soon as I saw this shot, I couldn't think of anything to say, except beautiful! It's really a breathtaking shot.
Terrific picture!
I agree...wonderful shot. I feel the room was holding it's breath.
There is such a feeling of desolation and wonder in this shot. Anyone sitting there would have been deep in thought about God knows what.
I know what I'd be deep in thought about.
Hmm... I don't know how to take that last comment, ~Me...
The tiles look like glass, yet another fabulous illusion created by reflecting waves of light, but arent all images?
How in the world? You make it look three dimensional. Is the window just reflected from the tiles or did you set it up with your photography magic? This is amazing.
Thanks! The reflection is from a shallow pool of water laying on top of the tiles.
Such a wonderful shot!
many rooms are like this......big open room with a chair in it...creepy!
Motts, i know this might be a hard desicion but, what is your favourite shot of all time?
damn!...both of those rock! Seclusion View is amazingly creepy....
what i dont understand is, how on earth can you get that reflection, when the floor is not made of glass. usually, you just get light that fills the room, or maybe even the lines of the bars that separate the window strewn across the floor. but that type of reflection?!?! how is the possible??
never mind, i see your response, Motts-- a shallow pool on the floor.. makes perfect sense now...
DAMN THATS ONE CLEAN FLOOR!!!
The idea that the chair is facing away from the reflection pool and towards the window says something to me. It's like an inability to reflect upon the past and future and only living in the present.
For some reason, the first thing that occurred to me seeing this gorgeous photo was Ayn Rand and Atlas Shrugged.

Not at all sure why. Amazing shot though.
the originle placeing of that chare a pationt that could have problobley been quorenteened looking out the window longing to step out of his/her room
It looks almost 3-D to me. The reflection of light just pops out. A wonderful shot, Motts!
Could win an award
That would make a good magazine or periodical cover.
Friggin fantastic Motts!
This pic is AWESOME.....really good shot!!!
aw, what a sad and terribly lonely picture.
i think i'm in love.
This picture ist beautiful taken *.*
This is so incredibly gorgeous, Motts. Much love for it.
i like it :)
OUTSTANDING
Motts, your talent with a camera borders on the supernatural. You have a gift young man. A natural gift that cannot be learned in a classroom.
You got the reflection in the shot!!!thats som creative!!!and...uh...
@Larry D: I totally agree with you!!!
This is a nice shot, Motts. The reflection of the vines in the window, makes it look like it is shattered, like the patients minds that once were brought here for treatment & help.
AWSOME I LOVEIT!
It is not broken cracked glass; as first thought: they are thin branches outside the window, reflecting in the pool of water. Genius you are. What a shot. May you always be well:
