It makes me imagine an old peaceful permanent patient sitting in that chair every day for hours with his head pointing up just looking at the sky like wondering what freedom would be like... maybe he has it by now...

There is a n apparition sitting in the chair but not looking out the window but more towards the floor. Very sad and intense engergy is flowing from this room. Look at the black head right above the back of the chair.

@Melissa. I've loved your comments. I believe Opacity has earned a new fan. Welcome to the club. Mr. Mott's photography is spectacular to say the least. "Stark" in this context means a lack of other objects or a barren surrounding. The moon was described by the Apollo Astronauts as having "a stark beauty all it's own" because of the bare landscape.
