Looks like the building has an open mouth!
Were there words on the keystone, or just some ornate pattern?
If you mean the square in the center of the arch, is actually a wooden board painted with what seems like a tunnel icon.
Motts did you wonder what the extra concrete was at the bottom of the arches. It was put there in the horse drawn wagon days to help guide the wagon wheels back straight . if they were off a little the wagon wheel would ride up so far and slide back down straight on their way again. I was impressed when an old timer who worked here explained it to me....
