Small Room

what a scary thought bed ridden in a room no bigger than a closet.........how would anyone get into care for them.....the thought of it makes me shudder

That's about the size of my bedroom, actually. It's not all that bad. =) I like little spaces, anyways.

Oops. I took a second look. My room is about that room plus half of it again. Ha. Whoops. =D

honestly some of the rooms in here give me nothing but a calm feeling, i'm not afraid, i like it.

THE SMALL ROOMS WERE DOWN A LONG HALL,, RIGHT BEFORE
THE DORMITORY. THERE WERE TWO ROOMS ONE ON THE LEFT
AND ONE ON THE RIGHT. EACH ROOM HAD A BED.i USED TO VISIT MY FRIEND IN THERE.SHE WAS ALWAYSI N TROUBLE.GROUP 4
FACING THE BLDG. ON THE RIGHT 3RD FLOOR ,BACK IN 1950- 52 TIL
I DON'T KNOW WHEN IT CHANGED. WAS A GIRL'S CHILDRENS WARD
UP TO AGE 18. GIRLS THAT THEY THOUGHT WERE UNRULY WERE PUT IN THE SMALL ROOM IN A RESTRAIN SHEET FOR AWHILE, WE WERE NOT SUPPOSE TO VISIT ANY ONE IN THERE. I WOULD ONLY
STAY A FEW MINUTES . I NOTICED THEY ENCLOSED WHAT WE CALLED THE BAR-PORCH WITH GLASS OVER THE BARS. WONDER WHEN THAT HAPPENED!! NOT A PLACE FOR CHILDREN OF ANY AGE!!!

That room was used to strap down kids who acted out according to them,( the orderly) ,the abuse, rape and daily beatings were insane,
Some of the pictures on the walls where painted by a guy who claimed to create Skippy peanut butter or some crap. But, he could paint!
NOBODY would EVER tell the truth about what really happened there!
They would be jailed for life!
God help any orderlies if they are still alive, If I saw one I would run him over. AND the nurses where no better.
