This is where they kept the really bad patients.

Just kidding, it looks to be a storage room, but it's an interesting door nonetheless. I imagine the holes are for ventilation, to keep whatever that was in there free of mildew.

...yes, Motts ( LOL ) they could use the air holes to breath through whether on tippy-toe or laying down...I can almost see fingers hooked through the bottom holes....

It could be that what was stored in this room had an offensive odor and the vents were to let some fresh air in, or they once had large speakers hanging on the other side of the door.

I would guess that it was medicines that needed to be at room temperature.

It looks like a vault at an bank. ANd that sure does look like a combination lock in the middle.
