Drains

Drains

The drains for the body fluids were located on the sides rather than at one end.

please tell me that isnt blood !!
It might be, but it was more than likely put there after abandonment... there are footprints on the table, so someone has been messing around in there. Morgues and autopsy rooms are kept extremely clean after every post-mortem operation anyway; the likelihood of finding any human remains is pretty slim.

I'd bet that faint yellow stain in the center is a more authentic remnant of the messy work that was performed here.
Im pretty sure that is blood, but as Motts stated it was put there after the closing. There were small vials of blood kicking around in there but Im not sure where they came from
The small vials were some kind of "cell activator" fluid that were blood-colored but I'm pretty sure after a decent amount of time (a day?), real dried blood turns a rusty brown color.
Blood typically colugulates within 30 minutes.
Why does it not surprise me that you know that, ATF?
That bloods been there for a while. probly smashed glass viles we found. Punk kids must have fucked with them. I found about alot of people visiting this place then leaving.
Actually, when blood is drawn for testing, you'll notice that there's a certain amount of fluid in the bottom of the tube to begin with.
That's an anticoagulant, to keep the blood from clotting within 30 minutes like it usually does.
However, it is highly unlikely that the blood was there from before this place was closed.
thats not blood.everyone wants to believe it is. you can find the glass it came in.there is the package it came in.i cant remember what the stuff does, but its not blood.

[name removed per site policy] was one of the most advanced hospitals for its time.drains on the sides was huge deal and advancement.
Considering the age of the building since it closed. It is highly unlikely that it is blood.
Blood like many other biological substances decomposes and won't leave bright, brilliant red stains.
It eventually will turn into dust or nothing at all.
Even if it was blood at one time, it would take a lot of different chemical testing on the substance, to determine wether or not it was a blood stain at one time.

Rust on the other hand, leaves a stain that does continue to show it's color after long periods of time.
What you are probably thinking is blood is probably just rust.
I guess in my opinion, I do not see the stain down by the drains where rust could occur, and unles the porcilin table had been cracked or chipped, I would have to guess that the stain is blood and not rust. blood has a dark almost burgandy to black color and it has been put on a light surface, I believe it to be blood placed there, but as motts said sometime after the facility had been closed.
Looks like someone got upon the table and pissed.
ugh awful
I wonder what you would find when using Luminol in these places?
I wouldnt be suprised if it was actualy Betadyne. Betadyne looks exactly like blood in small tubes or plastic containers ( I've handled it and cleaned it up many times in the hospital wher I work ) and they poured it on there to scare who ever came along next.
Did they clean up all the rubble from the buildings?
Getting there. Theres still an awful lot of the boiler plant left, Lovetts barely made a dent
Hey Scarecrow, those drains look familiar??? HAHAHAHAHA!
it looks like blood and crack when i was in there and took some pics there was all this shit every where in the moruge and in the drip trays and on the drains
What drip trays? There weren't any left at the beginning of '07 if you're talking about the slabs that were in the freezer. This morgue was probably one of the cleanest i've been in, (besides the obvious vandalism) and several HSH locals frequently cleaned the whole thing up. Crying shame that some assholes had to draw a massive penis and balls on the autopsy table in its final days.
Nasty... bud id still go there no matter what
