Sometimes they use autoclaves.
Yes, you wouldn't want the autopsy patients to get a fatal infection.
Yeah, you definetly wanted to sterilize the instruments in order to not contaminate future autopsies with blood/tissue from past postmortems. Makes perfect sense to me. As the saying went on 2/3/07, "at Haverford, we believe in health". hahahaha.
wait a sec whats the point in cleaning instruments that are only used for the deceased??
if your trying to do a biopsy on tissue of a deceased person you wouldnt want to contaminate it with another persons fluids
