Any pictures of the underground tunnels anyone??
Looks exactly like my dorm bed
that room scared the shyt out of me i heard a noise as soon as i left the room and i will never enter that room again
wow, The Basement i had missed the last time i went, but i've been hearing rumors that the entrance to the Basement has been caved in, unless that was the Morgue entrance
morgue is caved in not that
i think they locked the man-hole to the tunel..does anyone know?
They may have locked it but regardless the tunnels are extremely flooded and not worth going in as far as I'm concerned. Last I knew, the water was about waist deep and it could be worse now, that is just asking for disaster.
Hip waders rule!
The steam tunnels are really cool but very hard to navigate.
Hmm, I would imagine so
yo i like glendale a lot but i was wondering if u know where in ellicot city that enchanted forest is,
oh they look real comfy....
HOW CAN I SEE IN GLENN DALE HOSPITAL W/B
Sorry - directions are not given out as per site policy. Please see information under each picture.
Hello Myself and a group of friends were chased out of this building by something weird a few years back.We all heard of hauntings there and decided to check it out one evening. It was the sacriest event any of us ever experienced. We all remeber it the same. What ever was chasing us it had dogs as well as a terrible lous scary voice. We never saw what it was other then about 5 flashlights.Very scary. We have since heard simmilar reportings over the the couple of years.Something is going on there!!!
I am most interseted in the tunnels (if you have seen any of my posts). That was the one place I never fully explored. Wondering if hip waders are what you would need? I always heard rumors the tunnels connected all the main buildings...and they were pretty flooded 10 yrs ago lol.

I read some other rumor/conjecture on some site...about how glennDale was used/being used for a military/police urban warfare training area. Using night vision and whatever else and roaming the place.

google enchanted forest you can't miss it (although there are alot of em). I too have been thinking alot about the enchanted forest. Part of it is a mall now, kinda strange...maybe sad even.

i went over to glenndale last october '06 with some friends. we went downstairs and walked through the tunnels [it was wet and muddy down there but not too bad]. we came to a dead end because it was closed off by some gate but we didnt want to walk back through all the mud and water so we climbed through the man-hole. it was scary but pretty sweet
i did not find this place ,wat building is it in
There has been Some Strange pheomenon Going on in the body silo recently.. blood curdling moans and strange wind like sounds have drove out of it but all in all do not check this out it is pungent with a smell like sulfur and it is hard to breath like something is choking you
My mom did a story about this when she wrote for a local newspaper... she actually visited once with us to see what we were getting ourselves into, she deemed it relatively safe at the time. Now, in 2008, I don't know... The Feds took over the place in the early 90's and there were some wild dogs running around, and apparently the Secret Service were using them as target practice. It so happens that a dog bit someone and came up with rabies, so they had to dig up the dead dog that the Secret Service shot... thru the story it became known that one of the neighbors had a little Cocker Spaniel that was shot by the Service as well and the owner was quite upset to say the least! The Secret Service tried to cover it up but eventually couldnt keep it underwraps after my mom interviewed the dogs owner. I don't know what the outcome was, but I will ask her.
This is the place where good beds go to die.....
Is this in the basement of the childrens building?
That is the basement of the children's buiding.Very heavy intense atmosphere there! The childrens morgue is close by!
Wow. So many reports of people saying they saw, felt and heard things coming from this room. Somebody has to go in there with some paranormal investagation equipment.
me and my friend been there at nite its creepy
i liad in one of those beds, maaan they are cumfy, lol
i went last night and everything is boarded up because they are tearing it down in the fall, we tried to pop off on of the boards near the "childrens" ward and i swear on my life i and my fiance heard what sounded like a small boy singing to "music box" type music. i think that was the first time i almost peed my pants since entering adulthood lol
They aren't demolishing it in the fall. Where did you hear that? they are selling the property and it will be demolished sometime within the next 5 years.
They aren't planning to tear it down due to cost. A company was going buy it and develop it but the cost to tear it down is too great because of the asbestos and lead. The laws today dealing with asbestos removal make it unaffordable. For now, the Park Service owns it and the County police have a trailer parked on the site manned 24/7. I was arrested during my 3rd visit so I spent a lot of time talking to the Park policeman while the county cop did the paperwork. While it is the best place I have been to for photos, I will not be going back. And while I heard lots of noises, I never saw anything strange.
