I saw that door I believe. Very pretty shot. My 4th favorite shot.
beware all who enter here Toxic asbestos construction
you would never find me walking in that door you would see me runing the other way
i would never walk through that door even if u paid me 100,000 dollars. u would have to pay me 1000 billion dollars
Really isnt all that scary there, and in the daylight especially the only thing scary about it would be the thought of the cops catching you.

Quick question for anyone who knows (for SURE) is the morgue located in the childrens building or in this main building?

This is a great pic. Its really creepy. Does anyone know for sure if Glenn Dale is haunted?
Dave, most "ghosts" are in our heads. I've found that when you are in a creepy place, your senses are dialed in to every sound, movement, smell etc. I'm not saying that it's NOT haunted. If you go there in the dead of night by yourself without a flashlight, it might as well be.
You are right John, I own a paranormal group and I know a thing or to about a haunting.
if anyone knows of anywhere worth exploring in southern ohio or eastern indiana or northern ky give me some info i love the adreninaline that pumps me further and further and images of the forgotten something you just dont forget i would of loved to go to dixmont waverly is so public it is almost ruined i want lost ruins a place to discover with my camera and my soul
Many years ago, as a teenager, I passed the Glenn Dale Hospital on my way to the beaches. It wasn't until this past week that for some odd reason my youngest son, now 42, mentioned the hospital and that he and some friends had been in some of the buildings on Halloween. I guess this is a great thing to do. I would just love to tour the ruins. This evening my husband and I drove by it. It must have been beautiful in its time. As often as I drove by it I never gave it a thought until just last week. It would be nice if you could tour it.
yes i have walked right through that door bout 3 times ...it is creepy as shit
It's such a shame that this beautiful place was abandoned.
I have been to the hospital several times, probably over 15 times. I love going there and thrill I get out of it. That place will def get your adrenalin going. You half to be really careful in side cause there is asbestos everywhere! I recommend using a little dr face mask thing so you dont breath it in, and be rele carfull to not cut or scratch yourself with anything cause it could turn into a very nasty infection.

The one thing you half to worry about the most it the police. There are 3 Pg County Cops that live rite in front of the main hospital. I highly recommend no going in there during the weekends or during the day. I did get caught up there once on a weekend and they almost locked us up, but in the end i had to go to court and they gave us 20 hrs of community service. But besides that the place is rele cool to explorer. The only building that rele creeps me out is the children's building....i rele think it is haunted in there, I have seen things move and heard a little girl laughing once, and there is this one room if you go in, it feels fine when u walk in, but after u have been in there for like a min, it gets rele rele cold and u can start to see your breath....creepy....but anywho...if anyone ever has any questions about the place send me an e-mail, i can def give you more information about the place and where are good places to go through....oh one thing, if you go you def need to check out the tunnels in the basement, if you dont know where they are go down to the basement go straight to the wall in front of you, make a right than the tunnels will be right there to the left....if you ever want to take the tunnel to the children's hospital be careful cause i half to go in like waste deep water....i have dont it before and it is not fun.....very very cold!! My e-mail is Frankh85@hotmail.com
i went here last night with a few friends, unfortunately as we were walking towards the outside entrence to the basement, i thought i had heard footsteps in the woods, coming from all over, when we couldent get into the basement we had found an open window and then when we went over to it , all we here is POLICE GET ON THE GROUND 3 of my friends booked and were arrested when they tried to cross into legends manor, i was arrested by the smoke stack, all 4 of us were charged with breaking and entering, Tresspassing, and we have court sometime soon, the last time i had gone, we had walked into the creamatorium and it gave us all the chills, that place and the childerens ward are the only two scary parts of that hospital, the nurses station is actually pretty fun
wtf it doent look scary tho i love this kinda place its awesome
This is it.

In my senior year of high school I remember sitting in front of this very door (in the car with a group of friends) with the lights out and the engine off. We sat in total silence and I just remember feeling like somebody was watching us from the windows above. It was kinda weird.
Nice architecture
i would LOVE to go in this building and plan on doing it soon!. the thrill of spirits excites me. i love hauntings. www.myspace.com/for_ever_my_love
OMG, this brings back so many memories.
I used to go here back in the late 70's early 80's with a group of Glendale locals & play football on the grounds, never had the nerve to go inside, creepy place.
i'll have some great nite shots soon .i"ve got the free pass to get in without the arrest that usually follows, lol
This place is definately haunted and has a presence...The first time we went, we were outside of the building thats in front of the police station and we heard loud banging coming from inside of the building.. the thing is, the building is boarded up, so no one can physically get inside... The last time we went, We were at the main building and we heard something moving around inside, so we left out.. we were in the open field and heard crackling right next to us so we started to ru out and the crackling followed us.. It clearly sounded like footsteps..Since then, my friend's perfectly healthy son has had a few attacks where he'd black out and we all have been experiencing reoccuring nightmares.. Also in the woods behind one of the main buildings we heard screaming.. not sure where it came from... If you guys want a really good scare, you should walk along those steps where the exorcist situation happened (in Georgetown DC).. We walked up the steps and heard something following us up the stairs when we approached the house where the posession took place, the door was wide open... This was at 4 am and no one came in or out of the house.. we stuck around for about an hour and the door remained open...There's a presence there as well.... If you guys want to know about more haunted places, comment on the post and i'll be glad to share info!!
