The growth is thick even at the top of the building.

wow, very cool picture, i love the angle.
I would imagine that in time these vines will reclaim the space for nature as the vines and trees reclaimed the spaces of the Aztec and Mayan temples. If only they are given enough time to accomplish the task.
thats nothin, in the building there are rooms filled with nothin but ivy...its pretty interesting
the patio's on the roof of the adult wing are amazing........there's something (one) there...
Amazing shot, the shadows that the vines are giving off make them seem thicker somehow, and more alien and foreign. Simply amazing.
Looks like nature has really gotten its grip on the place. Great shot!
There was a very interesting program about a month ago--on either the History Channel or Discovery--about what would happen to everything on earth if man were to suddenly disappear (only animals would remain behind...), and it was fascinating to see how scientists--using computer animation and special effects--determined how nature will eventually reclaim everything, and what manmade elements don't disintegrate under the ravages nature and weather will get buried under the growth of vegetation. It was very interesting... I recommend everyone try and watch it if you ever get the chance.
This shot reminds me of ALIEN the movie the way the alien would wrap it's legs around it's victim, then you know your gone at this stage DG....
Elena, the program you spoke of is called "Life After People". I agree, it's fascinating to watch.
I love this picture, it shows nature reclaiming it's territory....
Nature wants it back. And nature always wins eventually.
