Even the most simple and solitary objects left behind can tell many stories. Whose hands had touched this lamp? What sort of examinations were done under the light of it? Creepy.

to the people above who asked if it worked. or that it was creepy that it was still plugged in after all these years...it isnt plugged in...the cord is plugged in and then wrapped around the top of the lamp.

that is the call signal device that is plugged in.
Yes, that is a call buzzer... I still have one buried in a box somewhere. I still think about how many people may have used it...
BTW, when we used to go there, the electricty was still on, a lot of those lamps worked!
the photography is amazing. the compostition in every shot is just incredible. Shows the eeriness of the hosipital.
These lamps with long cords look like something patients could use to suicide with especially if hung over a grab rail ect DG...
