Two wings stretch out in a symmetrical fashion at the front of the building. The dorms on the top floor seemed like they were on the roof, with open areas on both sides. Vines have obscured the lower terraces.

I live in Glendale from 10 yrs until I was 23 yrs Old. That was from 1968 til 1981 . Glendale Hospital was one of the most Beautiful place I had seen at that time. The Grounds look like a Golf Course and the buildings where kept in like new condition. It's sad to see the way they let it go. We use to bring friends from out of town to marvel at the place.

Does anyone know if the building(s) still stand? My friends and I as teenagers use to explore the abandoned hospital buildings in the late 80's early 90's. I tried looking for it on Google Maps but I'm thinking they finally cleared and flattened the buildings? Anyone know?

I, too, have always loved those buildings. I used to drive by there regularly on my way home from past jobs, and would fantasize about what it would be like if the property were nenovated into nice apartments or condos, and the old Doctor's houses were also fixed up and sold. It is such a shame the property is not being used for something, considering that of the many abandoned properties featured in this great site, it is NOT all that old (if you notice the date it was opened and the date it was closed down...). Maybe...someday...

does anyone kno if there are anyother hospitals that are abandoned and easy to get into i do research on paranormal activity and would like to visit new places

vistied this place a week ago, very scary. got a foot away from the childrens hospital door and we all got scarred and backed away. was very scarred about getting caught what will happend?
