only certain wards got the luxury of safety, i guess. hah. i'm sounding redundant... but these shots are all gorgeous.
Maybe it was there to keep the radiator from escaping.
wow they even had the radiator on lock down.
all was lost but the radiator was saved!!!
ok the radiator's safe...
Mabe the Radiator is crazy.......
my be it was hot
Has anyone accidentaly sat on a radiator? Its not pleasant
No, but touching one isn't pleasant, either.
wow! the Radiator is safe but not the Patients! wtf!?
My husband and I rent out an old two family apt house. It's almost 90 years old and has this same type of steam radiators. We had to buy covers for them for safety reasons..the covers in this pic I don't think are legal anymore. What we found out though is that to buy these radiators now, used, figure on about $15 a coil. The one in this pic is worth about $350! Can't beat the heat they put out. I'm surprised the ones here weren't all stolen already. But then again seems like only youngins been through the place
Thanks for the info Juls, Im an HVAC man and didn't even know that!! Interesting
The house I grew up in in Olney had radiators like this but the covers were different, thankfully since these are just creepy. Nice picture.
Well, we can be thankful for one thing... The radiator didn't escape! Ok... Bad joke. Anyway, nice picture.
I love old radiators
it also kept them from making that homemade grilled cheese, son!!! lmao!! jk, great shot
@colin o my cheesus lol
haha!! sorry, i watch too many "prison" shows on MSNBC lmao
Seems that the cage surrounding the radiator would have gotten pretty hot too, thus defeating the purpose LOL. I could be wrong though!
