Nuclear Sun

Nuclear Sun

A post-apocalyptic scene. I'm thinking the building across the way is W-6...

thats kewl too.
that building gives me the creeps i would'nt go no where near there.
As a "youth" i explored all the buildings on the old side, some have connecting tunnels.
Tunnels?
Really?
;-)
I've been on that roof , I think
I've been there to, you can walk through the middle part to the other side of the roof
I heard stories that all the people that lived there never saw the light of day and as you said Steve they used these tunnels to transport the "Crazy" people to there locations.
I've worked at several of these places and all of them had tunnels. They were used by maintainence people . There was direct access to a tunnel in K Building at Belchertown State School; I went in it a few times and it was full of piles of pipes. I heard that staff sometimes used the tunnels to travel to other buildings in bad weather, back in the "old days", but the tunnels were off-limits to staff (and certainly to clients) during my years at these places. And it is extremely unlikely anyone "never saw the light of day"- all the buildings had windows, some had fenced-in yards, lots of clients were able to walk the grounds with staff or alone, people had to go to school or workshops or activities or appointments, etc. Some of what I read on this site seem to be urban legends...
ALL these hospitals seemed to have tunnels. Are these buildings still standing?

Cold and stark.

If you think this is fascinating you should check out the Eastern State Penitentiary, I took a tour through there... talk about creepy....
I worked there for 22yrs.Most of the stories are bullshit.
