Wow. It looks so intricate, yet so fragile.
That is a relay panel for an Elevator Controller. The relays pop in and out to trigger stops and doors on each floor. The more floors you have the larger these panels are.
I like the greenish/greyish tint and all the switces give it a "science fictioney" kind of look, makes me think of old sci-fi movies.
That is the control panel for the elevator. I'm surprised they left that behind. That is a very expensive piece of equipment.
My grandmother taught me that age is a state of mind. She was rafting down the Orinoco (sp?) River into the Amazon forest at 93. She also taught me to admire old abandon places. Her father used to go into the tombs in the Valley of the Kings to paint what he saw on the walls there. That was before cameras. If you would like to see his paintings I am sure there are many in the Boston Museum of Art, if not look his name up - Joseph Lindon Smith. You take after him Motts! Keep it up I love the pics.
I guess this was let behind because the same function can be done on a much smaller board with just a few chips.
i wish i could have this kind of switching technology.
...my kinda STUFFFFF.....!!!:)
Reminds me of something from a Frankenstein movie.
