Hah you know what now that i think about it.... Goddog, me, and a few other people sat on this porch which is why the chairs are set up out there....

The chairs outside look like they're in better condition than the chairs inside.

Nope, can't see you either. After some of these incredibly inappropriate comments I finally grabbed a hot poker and jabbed both my eyes out so my brain wouldn't have to deal with any more of that melodramatic silliness. My spousal unit is sitting here right now signing into my hand so I can follow the conversation.

What a HORRIBLE place to be in !

That fence must have looked liked a giant claw looming over the patient just waiting to clamp down on him or her. All of the landscapes in these institutions need to be completely redone.

Ahh don't ya know? Nearly every state school and hospital has tall fences all round their grounds. This is to keep the nosey ole' public out so that the workers there can abuse the residents! Okay I'm just kidding. Really though, I think a lot of state schools and hospitals have tall fences like this not to torment the people on the inside, just for security measures. I know that the state school for the blind I attended as a child for summer term had a very very tall fence around the grounds and I was freaked out by it and worried a bit as to my fate but it was explained to me that the location of the school was and still is in a very bad neighborhood and it was, the fence I mean, was for security.

I really like this picture Motts....I love your lonely chair shots....its interesting to see that the couple of windows pictured don't appear to have any broken panes in them. Thats totally surprising really. Most of the windows are gone. Though they might be now since its been awhile since you took these pictures. It is interesting though. Great shot!!

I Love the pics you took of this place. I find it very interesting. Its sad that people had to live that way. But its a nice piece of history. I would love to go explore this place. It's amazing!
