The Sony F-707 has an infrared mode, which I was using in conjunction with a flashlight.

If you'd like to explore places like this from your own home, play Silent Hill 1 for Playstation (or PS2). Then play Silent Hill 2 for Playstation 2. Both have hospitals like this. SH2 has a jail like this and a morgue. Creepy, close, and you can't get arrested for being there.
