Well, I don't know if someone put the shirt there or not, but there really were volunteers that were Candy Stripers when I worked there.

That isn't a candy striper outfit...it's a uniform. They have different uniforms in every building they all seem to be the same though. Short sleeve dress with a colar. Red&White, Plain blue, Navy with white pinstripes. Those are the uniforms I've seen so far.

BTW. Those things get pulled out of the plastic packaging. if you go into I think it's either Union, Vinc or Tinicum you'll find a bunch of them just sitting on the floor in plastic wrappers. I found more of those red&white uniforms in a closet. I wanted one but they were all to dirty.

They're found in a huge pile on the first floor in Vinc....just not the red&white ones...unless they're on the bottom of the pile

My daughter takes care of a lady that lived in that hell hole when she was a baby until she was 20 and they shut it down.It was a living hell.

my mom took my brother and cousins there, i have yet to go, probably this weekend! :D exciiiteed...but the only problem is if you're 18 and over and the alarm goes off in the main building you could be in serious legal trouble, and there are tunnels underneath the property that are veeeeryyyyy erie!!

i currently work with several clients that were paitents at pennhurst and its heart breaking they are still tramtized by the bad things that happened to them. One of them still thinks he is the same age as wen he went there.
