Just by looking at this picture makes me think of how many souls could be traveling the corridors of Pennhurst. How many that died there could still actually be there, because they had no where else to go.
OMFG i absoutly love these pics!
they are truly amazing!
Very old and creepy..i wish i could go there someday!
i really dont think too many people died in that place...not even close to any hospital
I think a lot of people probably died in places like these. Suicides, medical problems, depressions, neglect.
MOTTS I HOPE YOU WORE A MASK
Way to exploit a tragic and inhuman history for your own "artistic" purposes, you sick fuck. You're awesome, dude.
They are pic! And beautiful ones at that!! Mott I believe you could put these in a book and sell them! I would buy it! I love the way they make me feel when I look at them. It has nothing to do with exploiting tragedy. Its art buddy!
Would you see blood or anythin on the floors? Dead bodies? Body parts in tubes? IM SO CURIOS (sp?)
It's not about the amount of people that died here.. its how they died. I hear that this hospital was one of the worst, with lots of abuse. That can lead to distressed spirits and such.....
"I want to check out this place but all i know that is it located in staten island..."

are you referencing Pennhurst when you say this? B/c it's located in Pennsylvania not Staten Island, New York
...PENNhurst...PENNsylvania
I just cannot under stand how cruel people can be.
I will be visiting this place 10-16-2010 and I hope no lost souls approach me. If so all I can say to them is please forgive the people who did bad things to them because they will have to answer to our Lord and God.
people can be more cruel than you relize trust me a lot of people just do not relize that
My uncle was placed there when he was 12 years old, he was never mistreated. On the contrary many staff took him to their private residences for a day or weekends, I used to go to pick him up and bring him to our house for dinners, holidays. It was not as bad as they made it sound. I think like everywhere you have good people and not so good people, Pennhurst was good for my uncle!
The cemetery for some patients who passed away between 1918-1933 listed 39 people who lost there lives for one reason or another. There is more in other cemeteries through out the state. These being ones that had families who would take their loved ones and bury them in family plots.
