Cleaned up, that would fetch a bit of money, what with the current craze for those massive retro SMEG fridges in pastel colours just like this one. It would be cool to have the real thing.
Hey, forgive me for being in the dark ages, but I've got one of those.

*mutters darkly to self about current crazes and how gramma's works just fine and being too cheap to buy a new one*
Ha! Ain't it the truth? Although everyone needs TWO fridges - one for cold drinks & beer and one that has an icemaker. :-)
The icemaker being to make the cold drinks and beer even more chilled?
Two? Just two? We have three! One for us, one for the daycare, and one to hold 16 gallons of milk......-for the daycare!
PROBABLY WITH A BODY INSIDE.
I saw one that worked pretty well at an estate sale, $50. It kept their cokes cold, but how am I going to drag it home, as I wasn't driving that day?
Sigh, it was such a shiny red, too.
Whoops, I meant 150. Silly me. Those new refurbished ones can go for at least 5K.
What brand is the old fridge?

sad thing is i totaly got stuck in one similar to that in my grandmas house!
IT WOULD NOT OPEN!
it was the scariest thing ever, but I did learn that the little light DOES go off when u close the door!
hehe, my son tried to fit in ours when he was about 7 just to see if the light stayed on, the silly boy never did figure that out until he was 9 because we kept the fridge full, but Berry and i decided to let him see for himself before we chucked it ^_^ it was a lovely fridge, they sure dont make em like they used to, hah, shows my age now doesnt it dear
So he stayed in the fridge from age 7 to age 9 till he figured it out? =8-o
you know you actually could have died you fanny! x
take it home plug it in see if it works.
I think we had one like that when I was a baby. I've seen it in some old pics. It was a Crasley.
Wheeeew am I old or what??? OK SHUT UP!!!
That is a really great fridge. A friend of mine has one like that. She likes it better than the newer one her roommate found at the garage sale.
Chilling photo ;)
Any food in there? Yummy! Mold!
Lynn...I know you posted your comments 3 years ago...I don't know if you ever go back and look at any new ones...I swear, I have spit diet Pepsi all over my keyboard more than once reading what you have to say!
Molly, me too! I love Lynne's comments, not only hilarious but also very informative! And I always seem to read them 2 years after...
LYNNE??? ARE YOU THERE LYNNE????
;)
Growing up, we had a fridge like this in our garage. I tell you what, that dang ole fridge kept my pepsi's nice and cold. My dad put all his beer in it too, not in the "modern" fridge in the kitchen! Ice cold beer!!
Should have opened it to see if anything ... or anyone ... was in it.
