yea its even crasier at night when the spot light goes on n off like eveyr 15 min or so specially if its a full moon depends on the way u look at the building u see different reflections makin u think ur seeing things at night its crazzzzzi3-NuGz

By looking at the pic, it appears that lights are on inside the building... That is Totally Creepy!!!

That is so dismal and stark-looking; all of those barred windows, one after another after another, all exactly the same as the next. And there are so many of them! I definitely wouldn't want to be commited here, just for the sole fact that the buildings are so dreary and soul-less.

i will tell you frist hand , YES this truely is what it looks like!!! a place were some of the worst sex crimes on childern happened, i was one of those unfortionit childern, all of these buildings are places of shame for the people of new york state, pape on childern took place every day !!! beatings also came the there special treatment s iam posting this after 38 years becrose i want the people of the state of new york to know that the childern they have protected are having to live some of the worst memorys post world 2 i would like to also mention the radiation expirerments prefromed on the childern in the childerns building in 1963 -1964 shame shame shame!!!

The light you see in the vertical line of windows is from the sun setting to the west behind the building. Electric lights are arranged horizontally along each floor by ward room/hallway. Stairwells were also lighted, but that vertical line of lights does not follow a stairwell.

I saw basically this same thing 2 days ago at 93, the sun was setting behind the building just as I walked around it and it made every window of a whole wing illuminate, it was obvious it was the sun but it was still a really powerful thing to see, it kind of brought life to the building. I took pictures of it, I'll have to upload them.

I went walking by here once, around Christmas time, and believe it or not some kids had strung a wreath up on one of the tiers. Quite interesting

this building should be renovated and turned into a haunted house attraction.

I thought there were real ghosts in the building!!!

3rd floor of that building literally has heroin users doped out there all the time. I've gone 3 times and there always there. Be safe

The light play on all the bricks of the KPPC bldgs. is quite mesmerizing. I drive through here every day and am in awe of the shadows. I wish people respected them and stopped destroying them, cause we'll all be sad when they're gone! :(
