Shaft

Shaft

An old elevator shaft. The staircase wrapped around these, and many of the slate pieces making up the steps have fallen through the metalwork.

He's one bad mutha..........SHUT YO MOUTH!!
Was the elevator still hanging in there? I belive they use to take them away... In my hometown someone accutlly bought an old elevator from a builing that was torn down... He installed it at home... Wierd
maybe its because he's one of the elevator crazy people like me who scavenge ol elevators.
has the elevator crashed at the bottom of the shaft???
Often the lift cars are taken as low as possible, propped from below, & the cable cut releasing the emergancy brakes.

Some lifts at abandoned Underground stations have had this done to them to deactivate them.
Why have stairs when there is an elevator rite there? Who designed this place?
Almost all buildings have stairwells in case there is a fire and the elevator is out.
wheres the elevator!?
