You mean to tell me theres a door? Geezzzz All that climbing for nothing!
Reminds me of the boiler room door that keeps showing up in various episodes of A Nightmare On Elm Street.
It's weird how just a simple door can project such a scary and creepy and spine-tingling feeling. I think it's the vent in it....that just reminds me of some horror movie or something.
I think it is also the lighting in the picture and the fact we know this is an abandoned insane asylum that gives it a horror movie feel aswell. This same door in a bright, modern, working facillity might not convey the same thoughts.
i live down the street from there
nebody know if the cops still patrol there?
As long as it stands, the Philadelphia Police will be patrolling the grounds.
and F.A.U.L.K security
Looks like a great movie poster for a horror film.
I live about 20 minute drive from Byberry. I love visiting the horrors of Byberry. Before I joined the Navy, many of weekends would be spent here. If anyone had any questions, email me at Wohlb@kitty-hawk.navy.mil
the door to what?!
I was on the Kitty Hawk during my second deployment with the 15th MEU. Good times. I miss pumping out.
WOW thats crazy i love it that would make a great movie
I worked on a service project at Byberry in 1973 as a Jr in highschool. Two weeks (day only) with the patients, two weeks of writing in a journal. A very weird and depressing experience, sharing the lives of the people who lived there. I've never looked back or wanted to go back.
A seclusion door. Used to protect the very psychotic from self harm or worse yet harm from others
did they clean up the debris and build the houseing development yet? and i am going to take a drive over there out southhampton rd.
That's one door I wouldn't want to walk through...Great "mood" again...
With the red glow and the door being half way open- all I can think of for words is "Dun Dun Duuuuun!!!"
Dude, I'm a wuss about this stuff but I'd wanna go!!!
I don't this place stands any more does it?
That door is the freekiest thing i've ever seen
