"my grandmom had one just like this"

Heck, the house I grew up in has a sink with faucet just like this. In the basement, in the laundry room. The house was built in 1941, for reference...
Whatis that above the faucet? A Soap dispenser?
Haha,soap dispenser.

oh wait where is that darn muzzle.
ooh, nice sink!
40's or 50's model?
Can't be a soap dispenser - no place to screw in a light bulb
Maybe the thing above the faucet and soap dish is a place to hang the dish rag?
More like a 20's or 30's model. They were probably still selling it in the 40's as designs didn't change overnight back then.
the house i grew up in had a sink twice this size with a built in counter and soap dish it was an easy ten feet long
I REMEMBER THAT TYPE OF SINK MY GRANDMA HAD ONE IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM WHERE SHE COULD PRESOAK CLOTHING THAT WAS HEAVILY SOILED BEFORE IT WAS WASHED IT SURE CAME IN HANDY TOO.
